Bed: A piece of furniture upon which a person sleeps (hopefully comfortably…and soundly).
After sightseeing, meeting, visiting, shopping, or playing…you need a perfect ending to that perfect day. The rooms here are quiet, comfortable and very clean…the perfect combination for a good night’s rest. The main house has three bedrooms with sitting areas and claw foot tubs; the carriage house has two suites with sitting areas and Jacuzzi tubs. All rooms have private bathrooms to wash away the stress of life outside the b&b. Each room is uniquely decorated with folk art, western art and local art as well as supplied with flat screen HD TV’s and iHome docking stations. We have free wifi, deluxe cable channels, alarm clocks, irons, blow dryers, luxury bedding, robes and towels. We use Gilchrest & Soames’ Bee Kind bath products, handmade soaps and bath salts with essential oils by a local artisan.
In the main house, there are three rooms, decorated in distinctive styles. Lone Star is the “cowboy room” decorated with western art, a real lasso, antique furniture and antique leather luggage. This room is very comfortable and quiet; it has a queen bed and a reading chair/ottoman in a contemporary cow print. Tejas is decorated with a unique collection of Mexican pottery and folk art, as well as a hand-made quilt from Santa Fe. This room has a queen bed as well as a sitting area with two comfortable leather chairs. Land of Contrast is our newly updated room, it was the first room to be converted into a B&B back in 1993. It is the largest room in the main house, and our only king sized bed. The bathroom is even king sized, as it was once the bedroom for the youngest of the four sons that occupied the house, many years ago. The room is now a mix of natural light with blue, orange and white decor and wonderful accents of color from several local artists.
In the back of the property, the carriage house holds two modern suites. On the bottom floor, the Cowtown suite has two bedrooms and two baths that can be reserved together or separately. Cowtown West is a deluxe room with a corner Jacuzzi tub, queen bed and sitting area with a couch (pullout sleeper/sofa with built-in air mattress). Cowtown East is a smaller room with a roll-in shower (no tub), queen bed, and sitting area with HD/cable tv. The Treehouse suite (a.k.a. honeymoon suite) is upstairs and has a private balcony, dry sauna, double Jacuzzi tub, sitting area and a small table. Both suites have their own mini-fridges, and Keurig coffee makers. Parking for the suites is in the back of the main house, by the gazebo and garden area, close to the door of your room.
