Jogging While at The Texas White House

Peaceful Jogging close to The Texas White House

A lot of our prospective guests are interested in jogging or other exercise while they stay at our Fort Worth bed and breakfast, and in most cities the options are limited.  I jogged for 30 years but never found it too healthy to jog on major roadways!  Between not being able to breathe and having to stop for traffic, I just never saw the benefit.  Anyway, that is not a problem here.  We have a beautiful neighborhood just a few steps outside our front door that provides about 3 miles of scenic, quiet streets.  The homes were built in the 1920s and 1930s and provide interesting architecture to look at if you can do two things at once!  And the Trinity Trail is about .5 miles to the west down a tree-lined, neighborhood street.  If you’re not familiar with the Trinity Trail, it’s a bike and jogging path, most of which is paved, stretching southwest along the Clear Fork of the Trinity River from north of downtown Fort Worth.  Jogging the entire trail will allow you to cover about 15 miles.  So, now you have no excuse.  You can enjoy our delicious breakfasts, eat out every night you’re here, and still keep the calories off and feel good about getting some time away.  Sounds like you ought to do it soon.

Bike Around The Texas White House

Ride your bike FROM our bed and breakfast, too!  It’s just a short ride on residential streets to Fort Worth Trinity Trail, 15 miles each way of bike and jogging paths along the Trinity River.  And we will store your bike safely while you’re not using it.  Or we can even try to have a bike ready for rental from Panther City Bicycles, right around the corner on Magnolia.  So, now you have no excuse to get your bike riding exercise and have a getaway weekend all at the same time!
