Perfect Time to Visit the Fort Worth Zoo

August 25th, 2010 by Grover McMains

Wow!  What a welcome relief from the 105 degree temperatures!  And it started me thinking:  pretty soon the weather is going to be cooler; that’s nice to think about all by itself, but in cooler weather the animals become more active, and, of course, it’s just a lot more pleasant being outside.  Also, the crowds are generally smaller.  So, what better time to visit the zoo, one of Fort Worth’s major attractions.

Visit the Fort Worth Zoo

The Fort Worth Zoo is ranked one of the top 5 zoos in the country.  It is constantly upgrading the surroundings of the animals.  It seems to add at least one new exhibit each year.  In fact, if you haven’t seen “Texas Wild,” that’s reason enough to make a visit there.

Here’s an idea for that really unique date.  Schedule a day to take that special someone to the zoo.  Arrive mid-morning and casually stroll the zoo with maybe a snack while you relax.  Then come to our bed and breakfast and relax some more in our Texas Star Gardens while you sip complimentary wine of your choice.  Have a relaxing dinner at one of the cozy and unique restaurants within walking distance of The Texas White House.  Next morning we’ll bring breakfast to your room to top off a really special 24 hours together.  It may be just what the two of you need — right now!

Family Vacation at our Fort Worth Bed & Breakfast

March 25th, 2010 by Grover McMains

During spring break or anytime your family can get away for some time together, use our bed and breakfast as your home away from home.  What makes that even better than just a great place to stay is that we are within walking distance of the city’s top family attraction, the Fort Worth Zoo, and are 5-6 minutes from the Log Cabin Village, the longest miniature train in the world and the Omni Theater at the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History.

Top that off with some family restaurants within walking distance, and you have a simple vacation to plan and a great one to be a part of!  All you have to do is call us, book the Longhorn Suite  and get ready to have some family fun.
